Default More Best Buy SteelBooks, possibly coming!

So I decided to post on the Best Buy forum yesterday since I saw that there is a mod now more actively looking at there threads over there. I requested more SteelBooks to be released and I got a pretty nice reply from them over there Hopefully Best Buy will pay attention to us and release more SteelBooks (proper) Hopefully good things will be coming from Best Buy soon

I talked to a guy in a Best Buy last month, and he did say they were going to come out with more Steelbooks, but didn't say which ones, but hinted they would most likely be on the summer releases. I have a feeling that if BB came out with G2 steels for IM2 and Prince of Persia, they would sell out fast!

It would be good to have something to trade with our Canadian neighbors.

Agreed. I was making that point in a debate in the Hurt Locker thread. I think BB selling mainly titles that were already out on Blu or Blus in DVD steel cases hurt them BUT if they sold IM2 or another larger title that appeals to a nerdier fan base day and date with the original versions in the G2 packaging it would sell just as well here, if not more due to the larger population and retail presence of BB nationwide.

I would also be a lot easier to waltz into BB and pick up an IM2 steel than having to have a friend up north grab me one and hope his judgment and packing skillz surpass mine.

precisely. I have no problem with group buys, but I prefer this method instead.

MCT and I agree! It's the first sign of the apocalypse! I'd even be willing to pay $35 for this, like I do for Disney BB steels.

Hopefully all Futureshop releases will be mirrored by BB and perhaps some BB exclusives as well. I'm all for the vote.

They don't even have to mirror FS releases, personally I'm not expecting it.
For example, if Prince of Persia comes to FS only, and A-Team comes to BB, I'm sure there would be plenty of swapping going on.

It would be nice to have some leverage against our capitalist minded brethren up North.

This is great news. Hopefully it happens. I just want to walk into a Best Buy and pick up a SteelBook right away instead of buying them online.

Hopefully BB gets of their asses and get more steels released. The fact that the company that they own is outclassing them in every way is pathetic.
