For Your Eyes Only does not work on Samsung 1500, works on the PS3.

You will need to update the firmware of your 1500, I got the same model made the update a few weeks ago

I did that already. Movie does not work.

It does not work on my 1400 either. The other 5 Bond movies work fine, just FYEO!

There have been major problems with the James Bond discs. Looks like Paramount didn't bother to test them in any player but the PS3.

Players these discs have problems in:
Samsung 1200/1500/5000
LG 200
Sony BDP1/300/500
Pioneer 51/05
Sharp 20

I didn't know studios tested their Blu-Ray movies on all Blu-Ray players. Interesting. I bet that takes a lot of time. No wonder movies are slow about coming out.

It doesn't play in my Panasonic blu-ray recorder either (DMR-BW500). That is, it gets to the scene just after the St Georges sinks, where the Minister is talking to two guys and ... freezes.

Interestingly, the PS3 just skips this glitch and jumps part-way into the next scene, where General Gogol is talking on the phone!! What a shame! At least it still plays 99% of the movie alright...

Edit: Mine is the UK release.

Spoke to someone at Samsung, firmware upgrade will be available soon to fix the James Bond problem, btw For Your Eyes only does work on the PS3.

It played on Sony S550, Panny BD10 and PS3, but not on my Samsung BDP1000.

All Bond movies work fine on the Samsung BD-P2500.As a matter of fact the latest firmware update from Samsung adds Netflix movie streaming to the Samsung 2500 and 2550(Best Buy exclusive model).The BD-P1500 isn't capable of the Netflix movie streaming and obviously won't be receiving the feature.

I had some problems with "die another day" on my Samsung BD-P 1400. But after cleaning the disc they went away.

Same thing on my 1400. I get a yellow "cannot read disc message" on For Your Eyes Only", but the other 5 Bond movies play fine.

I just tried "For your Eyes only" on my Samsung BD-P 1400 (Ver 1.8) and it worked just fine.

As I just wrote. Works fine on my BD-P 1400.. I would write sony about it and get another copy.
Must be an error during production of a certain number of Discs.

Heres my scenario:

2 blu-ray players:
BD-1400
BDUP-5000

latest firmware, all bond flicks will play except "For Your Eyes Only"
I bought the Volume set, containing this movie at a Best Buy location. went home, wouldnt work on either player, updated f/w on both, still no go, all others played fine. Took it back, to A DIFFERENT BEST BUY location.
swapped it. opened it in store. used THIER sony player to test it. wouldnt play there either. got my money back.
bought the stand alone copy. brought it home, wont play on either player.
took it back, got my money back.
Went to Wal Mart. bought it, this is now the 4th copy Ive had in my hands, from various retailers, and various locations.
WILL NOT PLAY IN EITHER PLAYER.
I simply was not meant to see this in high def I guess.
sux.

shouldnt there be a massive recall on this crap? I mean by now arent retailers ticked about boxes of returned merchandise?

I got it working on my PS3 with latest firmware update

Just look for another update is my advice.

Dosen't work on the Samsung 1400 either. However all of the other Bond films play fine.
