Default Hancock and Tropic Thunder-Unrated Versions

I haven't seen either films so don't spoiler them for me please

BUT, I just wanna know what extra footage will be shown if anyone knows as far as R-rated material is concerned. I guess this only applies to Hancock but I read Tropic Thunder didn't have any nudity or sex content. I'm only asking in case I decide to show it to a younger one

Hancock has NO "R" rated material in it's unrated version. Not sure what is different as I have only watched the unrated version. I haven't seen Tropic Thunder yet.

Tropic Thunder is NOT ok for young viewership.

It's extremely vulgar and gory. Plus the unrated director's cut version has an additional 14 minutes not show in theaters.

I have not seen the Tropic Thunder unrated. However I did notice one new scene in the unrated Hancock. It's a scene at the beginning within the first 20 minutes. I don't mean to spoil anything, but it is a sexual scene with what I consider strong sexual innuendoes. You might wanna check that scene out before you let "young ones" watch it. And don't forget you can always just watch the theatrical version included on the Blu-Ray.

It's been awhile since I seen Hancock in theaters but it seems that the unrated version has a bit more swearing. Could be just me though.

There's more swearing in the unrated version of Hancock, and there's a sex scene in the beginning (not much of a sex scene though)! But there is also the theatrical version on the same disc.....so...

You are insane, or completely desensitized, if you think the unrated version of Hacock has no "R" rated material.

The scene where
[Show spoiler] he takes the girl back to his trailer and blows his "super wad"
was originally dropped in order for it to receive a "PG-13" rating. That doesn't count all the language that was thrown back into the unrated version including a couple of more F-bombs.

The unrated version is probably not appropriate for young ones.

There were rumors early on that one of the cut scenes from Hancock was of him having sex with some girl and it showed the results of superhero ejaculate. This was a rumor though so I can't confirm it.

I have to agree, I'm sitting here giggling like a child at the sheer thought of seeing that scene played out!

Yeah, Tropic Thunder is terrible for anyone under 16. Totally vulgar and gory. Way too mature. I couldn't believe some of the stuff that went on in the movie as I saw 3 kids in front of me (all seemed to be 12 and under... as young as 7 maybe.) laughing their heads off.

Personally, I thought the movie sucked. Nearly all of the "humor" was composed of a string of F-bombs. What's so funny about that?

The trailer scene was not R rated. It did not shown anything. Not appropriate for young ones, but fine for the teenagers.

Having watched the unrated Hancock... I'll be watching the rated one from now on.

The unrated one didn't offend me but I like the theatrical cut better.

You know, I felt offended, grossed out and wished I hadn't paid money to see the movie. I would have given it a 3/10 at that moment. Later on, I was talking about it with my brother and laughing at some of the dialogue. So there were some things about it that I did like, but it was filled with just way too much gross out & foul language humor.
