Default Bond Breaking Records

Quote:
Things are looking good for the 22nd installment of the James Bond franchise Quantum of Solace, the second with Daniel Craig as Agent 007, to have the biggest opening for a Bond movie ever. Box Office Mojo and other sources, have the action thriller grossing an estimated $27 million in its opening Friday, which is greater than half the opening of the biggest opening Bond movie to date, 2003's Die Another Day. It can be projected that it will gross roughly $70 to 73 million based on that opening, which would also make it the fourth highest opening for the month of November. The previous Daniel Craig installment Casino Royale opened with $40.8 million on the same weekend two years ago before grossing $167 million domestically and $594 million worldwide. Internationally, Quantum of Solace has already grossed $161 million.

The cinema was packed when I went to see it at and it was only a 4:00 p.m showing. Can't imagine it during the night showings.

We avoided the popular theater due to teenagers. Which was a master move it was a quarter of the way filled and we got the seat we wanted. Honestly what other film would you want to spend your money on? QoS is gooooooood!

There was a large gentlemen 2 seats away from me sleeping and snoring throughout the movie.... I won't say much more than that, as I know there is a dedicated thread..

To sit 5 of us (not sure why we had to sit together ) we had to sit in the 3rd or 4th row. My neck is a little stiff, but there were enough previews to get used to the angle... I might take another shot at it from a normal angle and distance in a few weeks..

Yeah I saw this yesturday morning/afternoon. When I went to the theater to see the 1145am showing it was sold out. Actually the 1005, 1100, 1105 and 1145 showings had all sold out so I got into the 1230pm showing. Very good bond flick!

Good thinking, the theater we went to was full of high school kids who were talking and texting and being loud the whole movie. I wanted to stomp them ugh.

I hit up the friday morning 10:15 showing, got to the parking lot, it was packed 5 rows deep. I had a bad feeling as I went ot the ticket counter...

But no, it was some hospital convention they were having, and Bond was nice and 1/4 full. Got a great seat, relaxed, and enjoyed the awesomeness that was Bond!
