Default I can't believe I just.....

I can't believe I just spilled Green Tea Ginger Ale all over my PS3 controller...also known as my blue-ray remote!!!

I saw it happening in slow motion but had no time to stop the glass from tipping!

I wiped it off but when I shake it, it still has the green tea ginger ale mixture coming out of it.

I'm scared to even see if it works now!

Anyone else have any horror stories about damaging their own equipment/discs in random freak accidents?

None of my electronics yet - but my 28-month old Razr phone has been dropped onto asphalt, soaked in orange juice, dropped in puddles, dropped inside the little boat on a Disney World water ride, dropped on tile from the bed, accidentally hit like 50 times - and it still works! I don't think anyone else's Razr could've gone through what this one did.

I've ruined a couple phones by leaving them on a table with a full cold drink. Forget the drink overnight, and there's a huge puddle that messes up the phone.

I ruined a TV by using it during power surges after hurricane gustav, power kept going up and down, finally the TV just turned off and won't turn back on. Not too worried, I plugged in the bigger better TV that I needed a new entertainment center for. It was a 199$ walmart special so didn't even bother having a surge protector for it, moved it to my PS3 and HDTV.

Spilled a full Sprite on a computer I was repairing once, arced electricity all over my arm and totally fried the motherboard. Word to the wise, if you have the computer wide open and are installing/removing things, have it turned off all the way.

Only time I've ruined controllers is overuse, buttons start sticking. Too lazy to clean them out and buy new ones.

So...you spilled your drink over both of them, or you still haven't gotten your PS3 Blu-Ray Remote (sold separately) yet?

I just had the one controller and now it seems to not be working.

I didn't have the Blue-Ray remote at the time. But I just went out and bought one at Best Buy. Came home and tried to use it but I needed to have my controller working in order to link the new remote I just bought! LOL

I have been to Best Buy twice already today. Once to get Iron Man and Indy 4.Price matched them with Targets ad and then back out to get the remote just a few minutes ago.

So I just flipped out and smacked the hell out of the controller and I got it to work for a second and linked the new remote up!

But now the controller doesn't work at all after linking up the remote. I think it might work now but I can't figure out how to switch back from the remote I just linked up to the controller that may or may not be working.

Anyone have any input on the situation?

P.S. I love a good phone getting destroyed story. I dropped one in a toilet once myself, as well as just pushed it against my cheek to hard and the flip part broke off. I was told phones falling in toilets was pretty common thou.

I don't think I have any, but my sister has probably broken every single phone she has owned. She just has no respect for anything thats been given to her.

I still use the controller. Why spend $20 to $30 on something that works the same as the controller?

Yea that was the second thought that popped in my head after the initial thought of you big dummy you f*#ked up your controller faded away.

So I switched to Raspberry Ginger Ale!

I can never drink Green Tea Ginger Ale again without being reminded of this mournful day.

Gee I'm sorry to hear that. I don't have any such stories so far. I'm extra careful with my electronics. Hoping that extra careful is enough

Wow, congrats, that's incredible, I know of people who breathed on their RAZR wrong and it would stop working! My brother went through 3 replacements alone before he decided to get a different phone!

'Cause when I want to quick-click a Green bookmark, I don't want to push three buttons instead of one.

Let it dry out for a couple of days and you should be ok. It might be a little sticky though. Same thing happened to my xbox controller and it worked, but not well

Worst I've done is playing my xbox 360 during a lightning storm while recharging the controller. When the lightning struck really close I got a shock from the controller. I didn't bother turning off the xbox, I simply unplugged the controller and kept on playing.
