My original 60GB would have been two years old today, however it passed away due to a faulty HDMI port shortly after I got it . The repaired one I got back from Sony will be two in January and is still going strong .

Wow. Seriously? Every single one of my original systems (from NES), excluding the 360, has never had a problem.
