Default What do you consider the best Action movies of the 1980/90's on Blu

What do you consider the best action films of the 1980's and 1990's already on Blu...looking to stock up but I'm having trouble thinking of them. I have Die hards and most Arnold movies (not that their the best) I don't like the Rambo series personally.

What do you think

Sorry if this is a thread already I did a search but came up empty.

Robocop (but this one needs a remaster bad!)

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan (sci-fi, but it has a lot of action and killing in it)

1980s:
Raiders of the Lost Ark
Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom
Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade
For Your Eyes Only
Clash of the Titans
Red Dawn
Dune
Pale Rider
The Karate Kid

1990s:

There are many great ones that are unavailable right now, unfortunately.

Eh, I dunno. Some of the stuff mentioned here is pretty hard to beat but there are decent current action titles too.

Hanna, Chronicle, District 9, Cloverfield, Daniel Craig's Bond outings, various comic adaptations (Iron Man and X2 being personal faves)...even fairly vapid stuff like Battle Los Angeles wasn't completely without merit.

Yeah there are definitely some great action movies today, but most just don't have that same gritty feel as the older ones. I think the Expendables is probably the closest but that's because they intentionally tried to channel that whole 80's/90's action-y feel.

I'd say the Matrix, which I did list, would belong more to the modern day action movie-type, which are just more over the top and supplemented with CGI. It might even be considered one of the groundbreaking movies to form the boundary between the two eras.
