wow, they look like junk. it seems as though Microsoft just spray painted them. and its not even shiny black.....just matte which is not impressive.

I don't know what the price is...but if it was the same, I'd rather have one of these because I prefer HDMI and also...the black looks alot better than white and neon green

the matte is a poor choice....but I guess if it was shiny, they'd be blamed for copying the PS3......they clearly want us to know it's not the PS3.....but they could paint both systems invisible and I'd still be able to point out the PS3...

not that the 360 is bad by any means...but the PS3 is the Zenith of entertainment platforms right now with what it covers for the price....

^^ agreed. As a 360 owner, I feel cheated. As a PS3 owner, I'm glad they packed it with technology to begin with.

It looks like a paper shredder. Seriously, it's really cheap looking. It's funny how the price jumps up to $479 and everyone was talking about how the PS3 was way overpriced. And the 360 still has a DVD drive. A PS3 has a next-gen bluray drive and you can buy a new hdd for less than $179. I bought a brand new 100GB drive for $50. My total=$550. 360 Elite with external HDDVD=$679. Hmmmm

I have always assumed Microsoft PURPOSEFULLY ignored HDMI so they could do an upgrade later, at a higher price. And the next thing will be adding HDDVD or Bluray.

We all know Sony will probably do the same thing with hard drives. If you didn't catch it, the new Xbox360 also has a 120gb hard drive. There is a photo of it further down the list.

BTW, did you see that these are cheaper for MS to produce? Smaller chip die process = cheaper production costs.

Translation: They charge more.

All of this is the closest we'll ever see MS admit to basically being one upped by the PS3, like most people expected.

Hell, c'mon. The thing is even black to try and look more like a PS3. What more need be said? They were wrong. They rushed their 360 out to market, and now here we are.

It's going to be interesting to see how many of these things actually leave the store. I know I will not be getting one, the only way I would get one is, if Microsoft offered an upgrade program for $100, and I would have to think about that even. My 360 barely sees any action as it is, HDMI and a bigger hard drive isn't going to cut it. If it had a HD-DVD drive, I would at least considered it.

I'll be getting one. I don't have a 360 yet. And ever since Gears of War came out, I wanted one. But I knew this was coming out, so I held off. Cant wait!
