I've never watched an entire race hoping someone would blow an engine for the upset allowing Carl Edwards to win.

Only reason i was happy for johnson was 1. it was history, and 2. he is 88's team mate

I live about 2 miles from Lowes Motor Speedway and Earnhardt is by far everyones favorite. Johnson, Gordon, Busch and Stewart get the most hate. Montoya gets a lot of hate too it seems.

Man, I don't care what anyone says... I like Montoya. He is a lot like Stewart and Harvick with his "say it as it is" attitude and I like that.

Johnson and Gordon I could take or leave, it is aggravating when someone wins all the time and Gordon seems to whine a bunch. However, I don't dislike either of them as much as the Busch brothers. Kurt has matured alot since moving to Penske, and Kyle has shown a lot of maturity in the 2nd half of the season--particularly the chase. I guess races 1-3 were a bit of a humbling experience for him.

Sorry if this was a bit off topic to the original post, but I wanted to voice my opinion on Montoya and then got carried away.

Congrats to JJ.

I'm wondering what is to become of nascar, with several sponsors bailing and the big 3 just trying to stay afloat i cant imagine nascar will be in good shape. The teams have already started trimming employees and merging in some cases to stay competitive and once Detroit pulls it's funding which is only a matter of time i don't see how this sport will remain.

He is clearly the best in the world at driving around in a circle really fast.

Tough time for them, like most of the rest of us I guess. I also heard that they are going to have to get rid of a ton of practice sessions to save the teams a boatload of money. I don't think they'll be allowed to practice even a fraction of the amount they are used to.

Well, Toyota is not in the "big 3" so maybe they will start to do some real damage.

AS FOR Montoya, He is my favorite because he came from F1. Plus he is the only non white( I think)
