I think it's the cardboard cover that goes over the box.

The only slip-covered Blu's I have are for the new Casino Royale and Young Frankenstein. I was kinda disappointed to learn that the US release of Beetlejuice has a lenticular slipcover like The Incredible Hulk. We Canadians got screwed on that one.

Default Lenticular slipcover

I always wonder how those lenticular slipcovers were made. I am working on a DVD replication project for my church and would like to use this kind of slipcover with 3D effect.

WTF is the point of the slipcover anyway?
I thought it was so they could fill the cover with stickers and not ruin the case

Slipcovers suck, especially the plastic ones. The Halo 2 steelbook (steel case back then) came with one, and it scraped the steel (ink/paint portions)

I could see the purpose in boxed sets where you don't want all the seperate cases to fall out b/c you grabbed it the wrong way.
