Default Under Paris (2024)

Watched this last night. Thought it was highly entertaining.

Some of the shark attacks could probably have used a little more (ahem) bite, but the effects were generally solid, the action well done, & Bérénice Bejo's always worth a watch. Loved the end credits too.

Recommended!

Only 2 other tiny niggles from me:
[Show spoiler]
1. The so-called 'shark experts' at the beginning. When you viciously stabbed the giant shark with your big metal spike, what exactly did you think its reaction would be?

2. The kids in the aquarium who apparently thought it was hilarious that the heroine's husband & team had been eaten by a shark. I know the cliche goes that the French are rude, but seriously, WTF? She should have slapped the **** out of them.

Watched it with my girlfriend a few days ago. This is probably the worst shark movie I've seen in a very long time. We laughed out loud a bunch of times at how utterly stupid and amateurish this thing was. No idea why this is getting so much hype at the moment. I even read an article the other day saying this could be considered the best shark film since Jaws...um, no. Not by a friggin long shot 0.5 out of 5

I mean it wasnt good but I had fun with it since I love bad shark movies. Will be interesting if they make a sequel.

Diet Jaws. Leave it to the director of Frontier(s) to craft a genuinely awesome climax, while mostly fumbling the ball with the rest of the movie. As the OP said, opening's dumb due to someone's actions, and I'll also add that the Mika character is very stupid,

It's been a long time since I cheered for a character's death as I did in this. Worth a watch for that moment and the final act. Don't expect a good movie though.

Definitely worth a watch. I'd hold off on ranking this as best shark movie after Jaws, though

The movie was inseine, and the Netfilx dubbing, far more scary than the shark, pretty sure a trailer I saw had subtitles. This movie works on a so bad it's good level.

The stupidity of one of the main characters baffled me. A shark eats/kills an entire team, and you are delusional and stupid enough to get in the water to touch it? (And then her friend dies, which is a bummer. I liked her.)
