Okay, Warner can't keep doing this: bought a copy of Fred Claus on blu earlier today, found a sticker saying "Compatible with iTunes and Windows Media Devices" and even gives a list of Mac Requirements. But when I opened it just minutes ago, the insert (with the activation code on it) reads "Windows Media- compatible only. Not compatible with Apple Macintosh and iPod devices" . Sounds a bit contradicting if you ask me, and again screams false advertising.
Now, any other Mac- guys (or girls) out there who are just a bit annoyed and angry about how Warners keeps doing this, it's the second of three digital copy releases I've got from Warner that had this problem, so is Warner going to fix their mistake or is it gonna be like the Blade Runner disc mixup, where no one from the studio wants to help me, and therefore I'll have to live with it. Now, please, for the love of god, tell me the one for TDK is iTunes/ Mac friendly. |

that is ridiculous and frustrating. if there's a help line call Warner about it (they have set them up for errors in the past, although this doesn't sound like they are considering this to be an error). maybe other people have other suggestions........buy a PC? (jk)
sidenote please try and name your thread accordingly. it's really annoying to have people posting sensationalized thread titles just so people look at them. even if you didn't do it on purpose, in the future try to name it something appropriate to the content of your thread. it just makes searching and organizing easier. thanks, -dyb |

I tried putting the disc in my computer, all I get is a bunch of folders that lead me to weird looking files that don't work. And no, I'm not going to buy a PC, especially with Vista.

You don't have a PC? Wow. If you know someone who has a PC you could transfer the digital copy to theirs, then put it back on your computer and convert it.
If I had a Mac I'd be sure to have at least Boot Camp with a copy of Windows. IT doesn't hurt to cover your bases. ![]() You can get the digital copy for 14.99 off iTunes. If that's all you want that's the way to go. Last edited by LORDs_angellos; 11-27-2008 at 12:23 AM. |

More than likely they will give a code for itunes if they are bugged enough. Hancock is the same way. I hate this shit of not giving us choice. i have both harold and kumar titles and hancock not being used because it is a PC version only and i cant get them on my itunes.

I effin hate this, I thought they finally got their shit together.
This happened with "Speed Racer" which I was furious about. And then the "Run Fatboy Run" turned out to be a DVD version of the movie not a digital copy. They got it right with "Journey To The Center of The Universe", "Kit Kittredge" & "Sisterhood Of The Traveling Pants." |
