Hi forum
I'd like to buy a TV this month but there is so much choice... I don't know where to start. I've been plowing through mountains of TV's and can't decide which one to take. I have some requirements: - Full HD (Yes, I know some people say that on a 32" TV, HD Ready is enough, but I want a full HD becouse it'll be used as a PC monitor too. - LED backlight is ok, but not edge LED, I've seen reviews of the Samsung 32U6000 and it had bad uniformity, I think all edge LED tv's will suffer from this. - 32", my room is small and a 32" would be the ideal size imho, don't have room for a bigger one I have a max price: about 750 euros. But if you can show me a great one for say 850, I'd be happy to pay an extra 100. - primary use will be PS3 gaming and blu-ray movies, so I'd prefer one with a low input lag (30ms or lower preferred). Unfortunately, there's little information about input lag on most TV's. - 100Hz preferred for BD playback (your opinion on 100Hz technology? Does it help? Is it worth the extra €?) - No plasma, I want to use it for gaming and don't want to risk burn in from eg. health bars etc. in games. (if there are any plasma's in 32"). Basically I have a couple of TV's in mind: - Sony KDL-32V5500 - Sony KDL-32W5500 (100 Hz is the only difference with the V I believe) - Philips 32PFL9404 (little more expensive, but great picture quality from what I've read) - Philips 32PFL8404 (same as the 7 series but with AmbiLight) - Philips 32PFL7404 (no Ambilight) My main concern with AmbiLight is that I have never expierienced it and I don't know if I'm gonna like it. I don't think it will be a problem tho, I can always disable it I assume. Philips website with specs on these 3 Btw, I found this article: http://www.dday.it/redazione/220/DDa....html#pagina-2 It's about input lag, anyone has any experience with these tv's? I read alot about the panny TX-32G10 but it only gets average scores in reviews. I hope my post is a bit clear (not native english speaking) and you guys and gals can help Thanks ![]() |

My freinds mom has the Sony KDL-32V5500 and I was surprised on how good the tv looked PQ wise and it has been a very reliable tv for her. If your useing it for gaming (PS3?) then go with the Sony. Thats just my take anyway.
