Default Onkyo 606 HTPC help

Hey people
I will start with the gear:

pc with 8800gts gpu
creative audigy 2 zs
philips lcv tv 42" 1080p
onkyo 606 avr

pc is connected to avr with dvi>hdmi + 3x Y cables for multi-ch for audio, avr connects to tv with hdmi, so that way I can get 1080p res when using the pc for movies. so far so good.
problem is - I cant get any sound! I have to switch to CBL on the avr to get the video while to get the audio I have to press "multi ch" but then the vid is gone... gosh. what can I do to get both working?
thanks

Buy a stand alone Blu ray player this will be a much simpler solution and better then hooking pc to TV, unless you're into digital downloads in which case you're in the wrong place.

Thanks, but what I am into is not the issue. I also own a PS3 by the way but thats irrelevant. I am talking about pure technicality issue here.

Cant you just go to the meny and assign the inputs?

Audio: multichan inputs.

This is all you need to do.

You mean like... the answer? H9K gave you the resolution. You need to go in and assign the inputs to a particular setting. This will take care of your needing two different inputs for audio and video.

Yep, I did that. in the avr settings CBL is hdmi3 input for video, however I cant find anything to assign to the audio or make it work together with the vid. because the pc is hooked with 3xY-cables I have to select "multi-ch" if I want to hear sound, which then cancells the video..

I also have the 606 and while I don't use the multi-chan inputs so I can very well be wrong, don't they default as the audio input for dvd? Maybe try using whichever HDMI input is pre-labelled as DVD and see if that helps.
