Arrow Box Office Weekend 6/17 - 6/19: Green Is In.

Green Lantern makes it theatrical debut, and DC Comics is looking to find some "green" with this release. Also releasing wide this week, Mr. Popper's Penguins. Jim Carrey no longer has the same box office pull and Lantern should be a clear #1. Returning from last week, Super 8 should have a strong hold. X-Men: First Class will be looking to keep ticket buyers in showdown of superhero movies. No reviews (mostly) at this point and zero tracking info for the green guy. My early guess is for GL to make $52M over the three day weekend . First Class made a little over $55M in its weekend debut, and it would be interesting to see how those two movies will compare.
