Default Sony BDP-BX1 Dar Image
I had a Magnavox NB500MG9 Bluray player set up with my Sony XBR4 and it looked great. Really, the only thing that bothered me was the slow load time and no interlink (Via HDMI) with Sony Remote.

I got the BDP-BX1 for the above reasons but when I put in my Ironman BD I felt the image was too dark and a little aver saturated so that skin tones were flush and over exposed.

I played with some settings but this didn't help.

Should I just stay with my Magnavox or got with a Samsung BD-P1500?

I'm trying to stay in the same price range and they are both at Costco.

Also, I never had a compatibility issue with the Magnavox. Neither with the Sony but I worry about the Samsung.
