First of all, please don’t rip regarding the brand, quality, price, or anything. This Dynex LCD TV (Best Buy) was purchased because of the price--$299.99. Size 26” because it fits within my wife’s cabinet and it is for the bedroom, where it is watched in total darkness and for about an hour each night while going to sleep.
I purchased at Best Buy AND then the high pressure came out to meet me. The salesman almost walked me over to the register and while mentally pulling my card out to purchase the Geek Calibration at a cost of $250.00. I could not get away from him. I use to be a manager in auto sales. So, I know high pressure. One of his sales pitch was: I will save about $100.00 a year in electricity by having the calibration. Quality of picture, I understand but not being an electrical engineer, how will a calibration save me $100 a year in electrical cost???? Last edited by JimShaw; 12-06-2008 at 09:28 PM. |
