Default My Macbook Pro and TV

Has anyone ever hooked a Macbook Pro up to a 50" Plasma (or something comparable)?

I'm kind of thinking about getting back into World of Warcraft but I would REALLY rather play on the couch with a keyboard and mouse.
I wasn't sure how it would look or if it would be worth it, so just wondering if anyone else has tried this out.

Thanks!

it will output the same resolution as the screen of the macbook using DVI-to-HDMI, and it doesn't look too bad.

I've hooked up Macbook up to a Samsung 40" LCD (550 series) and its picture is amazing. I had to run mini-DVI -> DVI -> HDMI.

While visiting over Thanksgiving, I used my father's projector as a display which was another step up. Check into the Elgato Tuners if you'd like a DVR for your Mac. We watched the Cowboys game in HD. Beautiful PQ.

Looks fine. I use mine just like that. I used the supplied DVI to VGA or whatever it is and bought a 25' cable from monoprice. Then I bought a 25' toslink for digital(the MacBook Pro's headphone output is also optical!!!) and ran that to my Onkyo receiver. Then I've also got the bluetooth keyboard and mouse. Works great!
