Default Been away for a while

Hey guys, Ive been here since July 07 and have always been up to date with my blu-ray releases and whats the major releases and such. I remember when people were counting sales numbers for 300 on hd-dvd and blu-ray and when casino royale sold 1 mil copies, and when a copy of Blades of Glory on blu cost more than the production value. Well my most recent purchase was cloverfield on blu ray. That was in June of 08. Then Blu-ray won and i kind of lost interest in buying blu-rays and the sales slowly wandered off. Now iam sick again with blu-fever and i gotta have more. So ive heard since then that Shooter is back on blu, transformers is on blu(blu fans used to dream of this) and along with iron man and american gangster. Now there are big movies coming like Dark Knight,Wanted and Hancock, and i'll be getting those but iam wondering what "Big" hits did i miss from June-now, I remember big hits back then were Apacolypto, Casino Royale, Pirates, and 300. So please any info would be helpful,

and just this week, my first week back i bought, Ironman, american gangster, transformers, saw1, saw2, and flight plan.
EDIT::

oh and i stopped visiting when the trading score system went into effect, i have traded way more than once on here.
if theres a release list of the blus released from june till now i would appreciate it.

It's funny to think I've been digging the forum every day back in those early days as well, and before that, and yet only registered on October 9th. Big time lurker here. The movie collection feature made me finally register.

I guess big titles now are Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, and other mediocre action fare. I don't really care for much of it, although I certainly do love Casino Royale and Pirates 1 (and the upcoming Quantum of Solace release!!). Movies aren't too good right now, but that's just my opinion.

My biggest recommendations:

Sleeping Beauty
The Nightmare Before Christmas
The Mist
Before the Devil Knows You're Dead
The Sixth Sense
1408
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
Wall-e

Welcome Back Holmes.

I briefly remember your posts...I think I was coming in while you were going out. In any case...Welcome home.

If you are so inclined...treat yourself to Viva Las Vegas...you won't even believe how sick it is.

Hey there dude welcome back. I was just curious thou what made you lose interest. Was it the format war that kept your attention? Or was it just the lack of sales after the war? No good releases you wanted?

The reason I ask is I personally couldn't go a few days without watching one of my blu-rays. Did you still watch your old ones or just quit all together till now?

I'm trying to picture going a month without buying a new one and I start to shake.

Like the others said The Incredible Hulk is a good pick up as well as Wall-E and Tropic Thunder.

A catalog title that came out you might have missed that I personally love was Dark City the directors cut.

Well imo the format war was the best time, it was fun comparing numbers and knowing we had competition there were so many BOGOs and sales, it was crazy, and having exclusive movies like casino royale selling so many. But i left because prices stayed high and not many sales for movies, and all the movies i had were the best already released, alot of movies i was interested in were on hd-dvd and had not been announced for blu(mummies, bourne trilogy, american gangster, transformers) So i just lost interest for those reasons. I still watched my collection but just kept out of touch with release dates, announcements, and other news.
