Default My Trilogy wish list

Hello people, i'm an avid AV fan. Loving bluray,..

Just making the plung into bluray (which someone should seriously take communications up with EBAY as they need a bluray film-section ffs.) got 20 odd films but certain titles i'm HOLDING out on buying as i beleive they will come out in box-set versions.

Wish&Wait list:
------------

LOTR trilogy (lord of the rings)
Starwars 1/2/3/4/5/6
Terminator trilogy
Generation Kill ;-)
Mission Impossible trilogy
Tarantino Box-set
Saw quadrilogy (..well 5 films now)

When you say "boxed set", are you referring to individual movies housed within their own cases, each with their own artwork but packaged in a "Collector's Set" box, or are you talking about having all the movies housed in a single case with "leaves" inside to hold the discs like the Die Hard Collection quadrilogy?

If you're talking about the former, last year Paramount released a boxed set (individually packaged movies but in a "Collector's Set" box) of the Mission Impossible triology called the "Ultimate Missions Collection". Shortly after, Paramount went HD-DVD-only. The Blu-ray boxed set supply dried up, but after Paramount came to it's senses this year the Blu-ray boxed set started showing up again at Circuit City, Fry's, and I think even Costco, as well as the internet.

If you're talking about the latter, I'd love to see Paramount re-release the Ultimate Missions Collection, but this time with lossless audio instead of plain Dolby Digital 5.1. It would have been nice if Paramount had at least provided uncompressed PCM tracks - that way even older players could play the sound as the studio recorded it.

Maybe someday Paramount will double-dip with a lossless format. One can only hope, I know I do.

Thanks for the responces, l totally forgot about the bourne films. I feel ashamed :P

Regarding the box-set structure l'm not to worried but would hope for the best conversion of sound quality.

I wonder how much a Star Wars boxset of 6 would cost? $180?

set 1 and 2 would make more sense i suppose.

Along with the Star Wars Movies and LOTR . I would like to see the Back To The Future and Fast and Furious Films. I'm sure there are a few others but those are on top off my head right now ..
