Default Dead Pixels

Hi,

I exchanged my 50PZ85U because it had some dead pixels and what i noticed is the new one also has same amount of dead/stuck pixels.

1 dead pixel - always black
4 pink

What do you guys recommend exchange one more time ? Does these panels come with 100% perfect pixels? Or when i get the new one dont check for dead pixels?

Please advise.

Thanks

whoa! they let you exchange it for 5 broken pixels!? usually they give you some BS about there needing to be a certain number or a certain amunt of colors stuck on the screen. i hear on most tvs theres at least a few but are s tiny its unnoticeable unless your nose is touching the screen

I mean if they let you and it makes you feel better I'd do it but from what I hear theres usually between 1 and 5 pixels stuck, dead, etc. like my tv has 4 i think but I cant see them unless im an inch away from my screen and searching for them. Theyre not even noticeable in black scenes. But I'm totally for peace of mind if you dont mind bringing it back

I would say keep it for a while (if its not noticeable), stuck pixels can work themselves out. Hopefully.

But the dead pixel most likely will be done.

Plasmas and LCD are both victims to stuck/dead pixels.

Did you receive your 85U? and do they have any?

Thanks

i sent an lcd back to crutchfield because it had 2 dead pixels. if i'm going to pay a lot of money for a nice tv and they are willing to do an exchange i'd rather wait an extra week and get one that is free of any defects, regardless of how small. new one came, no dead pixels. if you get one that has dead pixels i would try as many times as allowed to get one without them. you paid the money, you deserve one that is problem-free out of the box (even though they are such a minor thing and are hard to make out unless you are close to the screen).

Is it even possible to get a panel without some bad pixels? If almost every panel has some. I will exchange this and stop looking for them.

Thanks

yes, and since its your money you have every right to get one with no dead pixels.

But, it may mean taking a lot longer getting that perfect set. Ive read story's of people returning like four or five times.
