Default Can we start a campaign for a Metropolis SteelBook™?

OK so everybody who loves Fritz Lang's Metropolis knows that they finally found the missing footage from theis silent classic in July 2008 and plan to release the fully restored filmon DVD and Blu-ray sometime in 2009. The thing is, once I came here and saw how big Blu-ray Steelbooks are, I immediately thought the film would be a perfect Steelbook release.

Some reasons why-

It's a German film and the Germans seem to love their Steelbooks

The film is set in a future filled with machines and metal--something echoed by a Steelbook case.

The film's poster would look great embossed on a Steelbook cover.

Except that I don't speak German...

I just this would be something to start with... to determine the level of interest.

Kino, the company that distributes a ton of foreign silents in the USA, only does transfers that are "pretty good", not ones that are "the best" of any DVD version out there. Essentially, their transfers are usually trumped by European discs for various reasons. Also, their discs are incredibly expensive (they never seem to come down in price until Kino releases a newer disc of the same title). This doesn't bode well for Kino's Blu-ray offering in my opinion.

More to the point, I've never seen a Steelbook in either format from them.
