the demo is ok. I think they could have had Lillian announce the wrestlers like she usually does. She didn't sound excited in the game

They never seem to be rather exciting, even the commentators are rather flat. I think I might pick this up, just to shout at those annoying "The Champ" fans with the new voice chat option.

What what I've read, there are no legends in this game.

But there is a "Legends Of Wrestlemania" game coming in March.

Yeah, I read that as well, unfortunately only legends that Vinne Mac doesn't have a beef with. How can you have a Legends Of Wrestlemania and not include Randy Savage?

Or Ultimate Warrior. While not quite on par with Savage (whose match with Steamboat is still among the greatest in WM history), when I think of WWF legends, Ultimate Warrior definitely comes quickly to mind.

Anyhow, I'm holding out for the Legends game, and hope it will be good enough to buy. If not, I can probably wait a few more months for Smackdown 2010.

I think it's safe to say that Warrior, Savage, nor Bret Hart get a Xmas card from Vince. It's a pity, some of these games, with the amount of IP Vince and WWE now own, you could put together a totally roster. Just don't give me 3 Hogans in 1 game!! That was bizarre....

And agreed, the Savage vs Steamboat at WMII may be the greatest ever.....

Nope. All of Mick Foley's alter egos were removed from the game after he jumped to TNA.

The official roster hasn't been revealed yet. The only 2 wrestlers confirmed not to be in the game is Savage and Foley. Warrior is possible, because there has been a few action figures released of him within the past few years.

Bret Hart should be in, considering he was in the 2007 and 2008 games.

I played the demo and it seems as though they are moving more towards the old N64 THQ wrestling engine which I loved. (i.e. hold A...lock up...up and A)

I'm really not too into all the striking and comboing that has been in wrestling games in the last couple of years.

Also, this is the first I'm hearing of this Legends game and THAT will be the game to get. There will probably be a "create a legend" mode and I'm sure Cactus's shirt will be in it. Also, pretty much every game made in the last 10 years has supplied everything needed to make Brett Hart and Randy Savage, so they know what people want....Vince just doesn't want to PAY them.

I played the demo and was rather shocked that outside of the ring, the camera is fixed? Any way to fix that? The game definatley has a different look to it, although the same gameplay. I'd like loading screens to be cut down quite a bit, although that may not happen for some time.

I thought the demo showed promise. I can't wait until Tomorrow(as of 22 minutes ago it's tomorrow lol) to get this game.

If the PS3 version will be in 1080p I'll get it cause I'm tired of playing WWE games in 720p on my PS3.

I had the Collectors Edition shipped to me from WWEshop last week (must have been a mistake on WWE part to shipping early) and been playing for the week and its an awesome game.

The RTW stories are all great, expect Taker's since its pretty unrealistic.

The bonus blu-ray that comes with it is awesome too, heres the matches on it:

- Finlay vs Kennedy - Money in the Bank Qualifying from RAW (3/10/2008)

- Ric Flair/Shawn Michaels vs. Edge/Zack Ryder/Curt Hawkins & Chavo - Cage Match - Smackdown (3/14/2008)

- Chris Jericho vs. MVP - IC Champ vs. US Champ - Smackdown (3/28/2008)

- Batista vs. Umaga - Wrestlemania 24

- Matt Hardy vs. Randy Orton - RAW (3/31/2008)

- HBK vs. Batista - Backlash 2008

- Jeff Hardy vs. MVP - Judgment Day 2008

- Chris Jericho vs. Batista - RAW - Winner faces HBK at One Night Stand (5/19/2008)

all the matches are in 1080i.

The game however is in 720p

Man this game's great!

Customized finishers are fun! The finishers are actually a bit easier this time than 2008. YOU CAN EVEN USE MUSIC FROM YPUR PS3'S HARDDRIVE FOR CHARACTER THEMES!

This game rocks!

Can you, or anyone else, tell me what venues are in the game? I remember reading there are ~19 venues, but don't know what they are. I mainly ask, because I'm interested in whether there are any classic arenas (like the WM IX one from a few Smackdown games ago).

A classic RAW entrance (whether it's from the very early days, when it was in the Grand Ballroom of the Manhattan Center, or the R-A-W lettered entrace), or even a Nitro one, would be nice, but I'm not optimistic.

Edit: I found it. The two unlockable arenas seem to be Saturday Night Main Event, and a Tribute to the Troops one. Anyone know which Sat. Night Main Event entrance it is? The one they did on TV within the last few years, or the classic one that Ultimate Warrior sprinted out of?

The SNME arena in the game is the one they used in Aug/2007. Basically its a huge tron at the top and a small mini-tron at the bottom.
