Default Blu Ray Drive Replacement Model CECHE01

I am having a bit of a dilemma here. My Backward compatible PS3 Model CECHE01 has stopped reading PS3 gaming discs and is having trouble ejecting and loading discs. I am thinking the drive has finally shot as it was Manufactured in April 2008. At this time I am wondering the best place to get a replacement drive from as I do not want to scrap the unit being it is a backwards compatible 80GB unit. If anyone has any suggestions as to where I can get a good drive that wont break the bank please let me know.

I'd just replace the assembly. Pretty easy. I did mine this weekend, but it was a slim. It might just be the laser, but I replaced both bits as not much price difference, and you get new tracking servo and rails

One of these should match for that model

The drive does not want to accept discs all the time, and it has had issues ejecting at times as well, that is why I am opting for the full blu ray drive assembly

Yeah, they are easy to do as well. You should just need to swap the controller board over to it which is a click off click on job.

One of these then
