Fantastic news! Yesterday, I just noticed that Olive's Coffee and Cigarettes had gone OOP. Ghost Dog is one of my favourite Jarmusch films, so I'm happy it's finally coming to Blu-ray. I believe Jarmusch owns the rights to his films, which explains why Criterion has released so many of his films (besides being great cinema and likely good sales).

That is something else one of the posts at the Criterion Forum touched on. Jarmusch also mentioned that he likes working with the folks at Criterion and when the rights revert to him he turns around and offers them to Criterion.

That's okay. I got you beat. I first read it as Ghost DAD, you know - that "masterpiece" from the 1980's that we're all expecting on Criterion any day now. LOL

Don't feel bad I knew about the D-VHS version but didn't know about the German BD being out. I think I'll just wait for the Criterion to get released.
