I recently moved into a condo that isn't pre-wired for surround sound and I'm not really interested in doing a wireless transmitter to the rear surrounds (don't have anywhere to mount them).
Any suggestions on a 2.1 or 3.1 system that will do simulated surround???? I have a Sony ES3200 receiver and 40 inch. XBR, and would love to just have to add speakers and be able to continue to use the receiver. Thanks in advance for any suggestions. |

Many receivers these days have some kind of virtual surround mode that will work if you are only doing 2.1 or 3.1.
I know Onkyo calls theirs "Theater Dimensional." I've tried it out and it seems to work decently well. Not like true surround sound, but it gives a more immersive feeling than without it. |
