Default What's the deal with HBO?

Anyone know the hold-up with HBO releasing their hit series on blu-ray? I cannot understand why only the first and sixth seasons of "The Sopranos" have been released. What about "Six Feet Under" and "Carnivale?" These would be amazing releases...can't understand why they don't want to make a quick buck.

There are already several HBO wishlist/discussion threads, here for example.

Yeah I'm waiting for a lot of HBO shows on BD.

Especially the mentioned "Carnivale" and "Six Feet Under" but also "In Treatment", "Big Love", "The Wire" and the rest of "The Sopranos".

Default I'd never get Carnivale.

I'd never buy Carnivale. It's a royally kick@$$ show, but I have no interest in owning it since it will never get any more seasons. Weird I know. I have not seen the Sopranos, and I won't until all the seasons are released in case I like it. Six Feet Under sounds like it's right up my alley, but I'm going to wait on it too.

Very old joke. I think it was a George Carlin joke.

But you say yourself it's AWESOME and the only way to pay the cast and crew for their great work, the only way to signal interest in shows like this and the only way to show HBO what a mistake they made is to buy this magical masterpiece.

Remember that "Firefly" got "Serenity" cause the DVDs sold so damn well.

Firefly/Serenity and Sex And The City are very rare exceptions to the rule. There have been a dozen shows that have ended in the past 10 years with fans clamoring for a reunion movie to no success. Roswell, Buffy, Friends, Arrested Development and Deadwood all come to mind as TV shows that had movie rumors spinning but someone might become a bigger star who doesn't want to "lower themselves" (like in Roswell's case Katherine Heigl or AD's Michael Cera) and nothing happens.
