delete files from ps3

just wondering if anyone can tell me how i can delete old files pictures demos from my ps3...ive checked all the options and menus..cant seem to find it

Higlight the file and press triangle. There should be a delete option.

if you highlight the file on the xmb, press it will bring up the options and one of them should be to delete

once the undesired file (picture, game, video, audio) is in focus in the XMB, press and you will get a pop up from the right which will give you the option to delete.
