Default Has anyone else had problems programing a Blu-ray player into a Harmony remote?

Last night I installed my first Blu-ray player (LG BD300) and then attempted to add it to my Harmony 550 universal remote. I then ran the software to add a device but Blu-ray players are not listed under "Device Type". They have everything else from TV's to lighting controls, but no Blu-ray players.

Has anyone had a similar problem or know why this is happening? I did a few google searches and came up with nothing. I'm really confused.

I have a Marantz and I installed it under DVD in the Harmony program along with the model number. It works perfectly.

I tried that as well but didn't seem to have very good results. I plan to try again tonight.

What is everyone else doing with their Harmony remotes?

And an even better question; why doesn't Harmony have Blu-rays as an option? They are very mainstream now especially for those people who own the high end remotes.

I was easily able to program my Denon DVD 3800 BDCI Blu-ray player under DVD and my Denon DVD 5910 DVD player as DVD2 with my Harmony 880. I would presume that it should be easy with your 550.

I chose my Panny BD-35 under DVD/ Did not even notice the Blu-ray in the drop down. I'm using the One, BTW.

X2, I have the BD-55, using the Harmony One, no issues. Set it up the same way.

Yeah, I've got a Sony S350 set up with my Harmony One, and a Panny BD55 with my 880, and both work great. Just need to set it up as a dvd player, which is kind of a nuisance that they haven't realized blu-ray isn't dvd.

This is what I do. I call Logitech and the customer service is fantastic. They will either walk you through it OR while on the phone with them, they will go into your program and do it for you.

They are really helpful. Don't get frustrated. Calll them.
