Default "Raging Bull" - 2/10/09 !!

"For this release, video will be presented in 1.85:1 1080p AVC accompanied by a 5.1 DTS-HD Master Audio soundtrack"

NICE !! Great Audio Track, plus you KNOW they will make this look Pristine in BLU -- and, it has the (same I presume) Commentary tracks from the Special Edition with Martin Scorcese & his long-time Amazing Editor, Thelma Schoonmacher, plus cast/crew commentary's as well (including Jake LaMotta).

Let me be the 1st of many---Already Added to the Old Amazon Pre-Order!

This is my most wanted movie on Blu-ray. This is the kind of thing I'd call in sick to work for upon release.

My favourite film of all time, it's practically perfect in every way.
Press pause at any stage and you could hang the frame on your wall as a work of art.

Totally getting this.

I was so glad that in the revised AFI top 100 list that RAGING BULL made it into the top 10 because I truly feel that this is literally one of the best films ever made. Usually with classics, some would argue over the validity of some titles after a few decades and there would be some dissenting opinions. But RAGING BULL is just one of those few that everyone says is perfect. It is criminal to me that Marty would get his Oscars for THE DEPARTED over this. Don't get me wrong, THE DEPARTED is a well made movie. But it pales in comparison to the likes of MEAN STREETS, GOODFELLAS and RAGING BULL, which I think are his three true masterpieces. I wasn't too much into TAXI DRIVER.

Everyone knows (or believes anyway) that the reason he Finally won an Oscar was for all the movies you mentioned (& some you didn't maybe) that he Should have won Best Director and/or Best Picture Oscars. Kind of like when Paul Newman was nominated a bunch of times, and was the favorite in 1987 (for 1986's "The Color of Money", which was, SHOCKER!!!---Directed by Martin Scorcese), and he didn't go to the Ceremony---and Promptly WON For Best Actor.

(Found this from Yahoo---a bit Off topic, but here you go anyway: "In 1986, Newman won a special Oscar for his numerous “compelling screen performances.” That same year, he returned to one of his most famous roles – Fast Eddie Felson from “The Hustler” – in a sequel by Martin Scorsese called “The Color of Money.” Newman’s performance all but eclipsed up-and-comer Tom Cruise, leading him to collect his second Oscar in 1987).

Great movie and great performances. Cannot wait.

Also, I'm sure this will look quite good. I have the anamorphic DVD released a few years ago and it looks very good for DVD.
