I think I'm just going to wait it out as the situation with store sales and the economy will necessitate huge bargains far and away above just closeouts for new models.

I want a 46" Panny plasma 1080p display and it don't feel $799.00 or thereabouts is outrageous to hold out for in the near future. I rather not deal online either.

What are you waiting for?

Discounted blu's no more than $15. I'd be all over it

$10 for older titles and $15 for newer.

I'm just waiting for the price to drop a little more on the older Marantz 720p FPs..... They put mine to shame.

60" Quad-HD OLED with 3D capability for sub-$5000.

Otherwise, my 50" Kuro is just fine.

All those 2008 models we covet today will be discontinued next month. All the 2009 models get introduced next month starting January 8, 2009 at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) show in Las Vegas. So everything in the stores now that are 2008 models will be discontinued and considered close-outs in less than 4 weeks.
