Really want to get the import but i am holding out for HD audio and a cheaper price. Any news on when Universal is releasing this one?

Universal has yet to announce this for US release. Seeing that it came out on hd-dvd I would imagine that it should get released this year.

just watched it last night on dvd, pretty good imo.

the sound was good in the shooting scenes and the first explosion caught me by complete surprise!

Ill take it eventually. id rather them release Smokin Aces though. I miss owning that movie.

It was ok. Kinda of boring and un entertaining though. I waste a fan of the whole premisis.

Really, it's one of the most intriguing sci-fi films in the recent couple years. I absolutely love this film. Excellent cinematography, with some of the most amazing "single shot" scenes ever done, extremely clean, dynamic audio, and with a powerful message.

Lossless audio and HD video would really make this movie a must-have. I know there's an import version, and I, too have been holding out for the US BD as well. I have the DVD and have watched it many times.

I haven't heard anything about this film and got tired of waiting so I ordered the import from Amazon. Good movie.

Well... this is one of my favorite movies of all time, from an amazingly gifted director. There's a single shot that lasts about 9 minutes, where Clive Owen runs from point A to point B, while dodging bullets, explosions, being ambushed... very complicated stuff. Absolutely brilliant

I'm in 100% agreement with you. It is the only film made in the last ten years that would make it on my Top Ten List. Brilliant indeed. I've watched my region-free, Nordisk Film Blu-ray disc at least a half dozen times. I just couldn't wait for Universal to get around to releasing it. But if they release a feature-laden version down the road I most certainly will have to retire it.

to each their own......to me this is a masterpiece and one of the best films of the past five years. Alfonso Cuaron is a genius and I can't wait to see what he does next.......

Count me in as another who'd prefer to get Smokin Aces. I still love Children of Men and it will be a day 1 purchase for me, but I just really like Smokin Aces - the soundtrack especially.

Anyway, no one knows when it's coming to the US, but you can be assured it will be posted when we do know

I bought this on HD DVD when it first came out. I hated it the first time I watched it. But after another viewing it really started to grow on me and now it's one of my favorites. It's a perfect movie for the HD experience because of all the details used to convey the world it's set in.

Wow, I somehow missed that. I love long single shot sequences like in Death Sentence, the scene in the parking structure

I thought Children of Men was pretty good but I can definitely hold off. Clive Owen is pretty much the perfect actor for these distopian movies.

This movie completely blew me away. Definitely one of the best films of whatever year it came out in.. I can't wait to own it on Blu-ray.
