Blu-ray Guys,
Please help me pick a receiver. I’m setting up a modest, blue-ray, 5.1 home theater system. The speakers at this point are 2 Bose 301s in the front, 2 KLH rear speakers, a Klipsch KSW-10, and a Bose VCS-10 Center Channel Speaker. The TV is a Samsung LN-46A650T, and the blu-ray player is a Panasonic DMP-BD35K. We rent about a movie a week from Netflix. So, what receiver fits? Are there any “must change” pieces that would dramatically improve our blu-ray experience? Thanks for any and all constructive input. Roger |

crackinhedz,
Wow! What a quick response and good question! It's not real firm, but I was thinking up to $500. If a more expensive receiver would greatly add to the blu-ray experience when combined with the rest of my system, I would consider it. Roger |

That's the most diplomatic answer I've read regarding Bose speakers. And you are to be commended. I agree wholeheartedly...if you enjoy a certain speaker, then that is all that matters.

crackinhedz,
Thanks for the recommendations and coupons. Do the coupons only work at 6th Ave? The speakers I listed are just what I happened to have - some are very old. I'm just putting the system together now so I thought I'd use what I have for the time being. I'm thinking speakers are a matter of personal taste and at this point I have none. Thanks again. Roger |

I'm even looking at buying the 2309CI for an upgrade. I looked at Sixth Avenue and I can get one for under $600 bucks! I usually go through amazon and they are over $100 bucks higher. Why is that???? Normally amazon is so much cheaper.
