But now that they have been shipwrecked in a mysterious canyon, they will have to work together to survive their greatest foe of all… themselves.

Yes, once again the misfits from Blood Gulch find themselves stuck in the most worthless piece of real estate in the galaxy, or so they think. When dark forces begin to aligh against them, they begin to realize there’s a lot more at stake than just being rescued. And this time just to survive, they might have to do what they do what they do worst… fight.

BONUS FEATURES:

Beind-the-scenes Video; PSAs; Deleted Scenes; Director Commentary

I'm going to be picking these two up on release week, I'm sure the video quality for both are going to look great.

Yeah, I quite enjoyed the show, and Red vs. Blue has had another good season this year.

The soundtrack for RWBY and the associated trailers is quite addicting... I'll be getting it just because of the music - and so I can watch Blake some more...!

I saw this on Amazon, after it was posted in the Anime forum, but I've heard that video quality is a mess. Is that true?
The trailer looks pretty good, so I just wanted to confim.

For the video quality, do you think they meant a bad transfer, or just the overall quality of the animation itself? I actually like the style of animation they use - Reminds me somewhat of the graphics used in the Borderlands video game series...

Interesting how the scenes in the individual trailers for each character are not even in the anime itself... They basically just made stand-alone video introductions for each of the main characters. Still very cool - some amazing choreographed action! So will those trailers be included on the Blu-ray?

I'm not sure. I seem to recall a few reviewers stating there was some noticeable banding, and maybe pixelating going on. I'm hopeful there will be a review here, or someone posts their thoughts in the forum.
It does look quite interesting. The trailer kind of reminds me of Sucker Punch.

I know your pain, I got seasons 1-9 on DVD, then I heard about this box set, then I got Season 10 on Blu-Ray, then I got the 1-10 Blu set.

I was unable to find a single review for RWBY online that actually covered the PQ/AQ quality of the Blu-ray transfer at all... maybe they didn't send out early copies to any reviewers?

In the Amazon link provided. I had read those reviews a short while back when this release was first brought to my attnetion. Now, some might say..Ahh those are Amazon reviews...
Well even the favorable reviews still mention severe clipping in the animation. Now I don't know if this is inherant to the source, or a product of the transfer. I'd really like to know, becuase I might be willing to get this release.

I'm picking it up tomorrow regardless, since it's under $20... I see Best Buy has 3 versions listed on their website, DVD, Blu-Ray, and a BD/DVD combo, and the latter two are both $19.99 - I don't see any other place listing a combo set, but I doubt there would be an exclusive to BB for this...

It seems the amazon reviews are just talking about the episodes on Rooster Teeth's website. I will admit that the animation isn't perfect, it has a lot of moments where the character's movements are stiff and sluggish, I've also seen hair and hands going though some of the solid objects, but it isn't deal breaking. So I say the people are just talking about the source material and not a problem of the Blu-ray itself.

I was going to take a look at that packaging tomorrow when I hit BB/Target/WM.
Any word if this comes with a slipcover? I like the black plastic case.

Ah okay. Well if either of guys get it and watch it, definitely post your thoughts. Yeah for $15 on Amazon, it looks like a pretty good deal.

I have to bring something up about the release date Blu-ray.com set Red vs. Blue: Season 11. Hey, Blu-ray.com both the publishing company of this Blu-ray Cinedigm, and the company that makes the show Rooster Teeth say this releases on the 12th, not the 5th. Just wanted to point that out.

Yeah, well the episodes on the website were severely compressed, so that is to be expected there. Lots of jaggies and stuff... I'm sure the Blu-ray will be much better. And I like that whole package of awkward movement and unique look of the animation they used for the series - I think they actually may have done that on purpose, just to make it feel more like you're watching a video game world...

I highly doubt there will be a slip for this, but... Walmart also has it listed at $15 for the Blu-ray, but only for online pre-order, so I don't know if they will even have it in their stores tomorrow. And Target's website doesn't seem to even know what RWBY is, it's not listed there at all.

Chances are Best Buy will have these two in stores, they've been kind of hogging the Rooster Teeth stuff to themselves, but Wal-mart may have it, as I got my standalone Blu-ray copy of Red vs Blue: Season 10 at my local Wal-Mart.

I'm touring all the stores tomorrow anyway for Man of Steel, so I'll keep an eye out for this.

OK, well I'm going to hit both stores tomorrow over lunch, as both BB & WM are within a 1/4 mile of my office... If Walmart has RWBY in stock, I'll probably just buy the cheaper BD-only version there.

Do you think the Blu-ray.com reviews will be posted by tomorrow, RVBX took 3 days from it's release to be posted, but that's probably because the reviewer had to watch 10 80-160 minute movies plus hours of extras.
