Default I Bought Iron Man Steelbook off Ebay at USD$76

I bought it off ebay at USD$76. Plus shipping and optional insurance at USD$17. Total is USD$93 shipping to Singapore with tracking number provided.

Is the price I paid too high/normal for the Iron Man Steelbook, considering its out of production?

The seller is based in USA and he left a comment that I had bid quite high.

Hmmm...if you REALLY love Iron Man...
I will not pay more than $50 (shipping included) for any steelbook though.

Yes I really love the steelbook. Amongst all the steelbook released that is region free, I love the Iron Man cover artwork the most.

Erm, you mean I paid a high price for this? Because I see many other sellers setting a buy-now price at USD$70+. Actually this is my first time buying stuff from ebay so i'm not familiar.

The seller is a very active member in ebay from what I can see. He has 1300+ stars and 100% positive feedback. He has many steelbooks for sale. Apparantly he has put up Indy4, Dark Knight and Iron Man steels for sale concurrently.

I wanted to bid on all 3 of them. But was outbid for Dark Knight and Indy 4 at USD$40+. The price was too much to take it so I just went all out for Iron Man.

A couple months ago didn't we have a firm deal for INdy and Iron blu steels (sealed) for $100 shipped. Then you stopped answering back. A lot better than $93 for just iron man.

Depends on how much you expected to be paying for it.

Definitely way too much for me. No one single movie would be worth it as long as its not the only existing copy

What's so special about this Steelbook version anyways??

Oh well... I hope you get a fast delivery and enjoy it!

I would like to know what is so special about SteelBook. From my research, the case is just at the highest quality. Can I get some pics of SteelBook owners? I know the case is made out of Steel, I know there limited production. But what justifies buying them? I would really like to know more about SteelBook. Also does SteelBook cases the same size as standard Blu-Ray cases? I am looking at purchasing TDK SteelBook from the trade forum. If I end up seeing it's worth it, I may buy all my next MAJOR BlockBusters in SteelBook.

google.com

http://www.steelbook.com/forside/indexFlash.htm

"SteelBook - A SteelBook is a high quality case similar in size and layout to a keep case but featuring an outer metal shell. The interior of a SteelBook is typically made of plastic and features one or more hubs, or inserts, for disc based media or clips for paper based media. The artwork is printed directly onto the metal shell and is sometimes embossed or textured. The term SteelBook is a trade mark of Glud & Marstrand A/S who also hold the patent for the design, though knockoffs have been produced in the past. Like Digi-Pak, SteelBook is becoming somewhat of a genericized trademark for case products featuring a metal outer shell."

Yea, I got that. Witch sounds nice and dandy, but I can't figure how many are released. If it's a low number, then it may be worth the extra money.
