Best place to buy BDs in London? - Blu-ray Forum

Hello my fellow Blu-Ray-addicts. My girlfriend is going to London next week, and therefor Im wondering whats the best place to buy Blu-rays? Do they sell Criterion movies?

For Criterion, try the Cinema Store, they will be expensive, and are region locked though

You won't find Criterion dvds/BD's in any UK shops as they are US-only releases (though you can obviously import them online). As for shops you have the likes of HMV, and supermarkets (Asda, Tesco etc). HMV can be expensive sometimes (instore at least), and supermarkets don't (yet) carry great ranges of BD's - usually just chart releases. Blu-rays are almost always cheaper online which is why I rarely buy them in shops - and I live in London!

Yup to be fair, London or the UK in general is not the best Blu country.

Which is why most of us buy online

If you go downstairs in the Cinema Store, they have their Region 1 DVD / Blu Ray department, they do stock Critertion, but all of the discs in there are quite expensive
