Default Some vid quality insight, please?

Hey everyone, I just bought a Sony s350 blu-ray player, and I love it, but recently I can't help but wonder if I should exchange it for a ps3. So I came to these forums because I know if I went to the PS3 forums, I'd get purely unbiased responses telling me to just buy a ps3.

So my question is simple: s350 vs. ps3 purely in terms of video quality, should I stick with the s350 or pay $150 more to get a ps3?

When you respond, please DO NOT factor in the fact that the ps3 plays games, I doubt I'd play very many as I own a Xbox 360 and generally don't like having to purchase games for two consoles. The PS3 would likely be used 95% of the time just for blu-ray movies.

P.S I realize this has probably been covered before, but I'm at work and really don't have the time to be doing any searches as I just want a very specific answer.

I do not have the Sony 350, I got a Samsung but I believe the 350 is very highly rated by most people who have it.

In short if you won't be byuing games for the PS3 since you have the XBox, I don't think you would need to go and change it for a PS3, I think you will probably love your 350.

WOW just saw this was my 1000 post

Stay with the 350, your n ot playing games, there is no reason to have a ps3, pq on the 350 is getting really good reviews.

I replaced my PS3 for an S550 and prefer it greatly for BD playback. I am told that the S350 and S550 have the same chip so you should get the same quality in video. Between the S550 and the PS3 I find the video quality to be the same with blu-rays and better with standard DVD's. If you do not plan to game with the PS3 do not waste the money. IMO.
