Default Oz The Great & Powerful Disney Movie Rewards Exclusive / Disc Only / Blu-ray 2D

I'd like to add the 2D Blu-ray disc only ($5.99 Disney reward with the purchase of the 3D retail disc) to a blu-ray.com collection. I only found am option for the 3D Blu-ray disc only ($5.99 Disney reward with the purchase of the retail 2D/DVD combo).

Add it yourself. It's easy. I did it for the Wal-mart 3 disc Lord of the Rings set.

How does this work? I get the 2D combo disc and order the 3D disc for $5.99? Or do I get the 3D disc and then order the 2D disc for $5.99?

Sorry I can't remember if there was a limited window on the insert offer. I do know that you had to buy the BD/DVD/DC combo. The BD/DVD pack did not contain the offer.

The expiration date was Halloween. Now whether they were firm on that date, I don't know.

Ok, yea, I thought I recalled hearing something about October.. I think that's really crap to have such a short window on it..

I just opened my copy. It definitely says 10/31/2013. There's no specific link, it just directs you to the DMR site. You obviously won't be able to order one without a code but you might be able to poke around and see if the redemption page is still on there.

Edit: just looked at my DMR account. The offer was only unlocked by registering your code. A similar offer for the Wreck-It Ralph soundtrack is unlocked when you register that movie. Basically there's no way of knowing whether or not Disney is still offering this short of registering a new copy.

Oh dear, how low have we sunk. We've gone from "I hope they never do this again" to "I hope they do this for Frozen" in less than one year...

How about this: why don't we hope that all their 3D releases from here on out will be day-and-date with the 2D versions, like they told us in the first place?

Edit: And Maddyfan, please know that I understand where you're coming from, and also would hate for people to have to double-dip, I'm just expressing frustration with Disney.

So, just to confirm: the redemption code for the $5.99 3D version is dead for those interested. I hadn't entered my magic code yet and I didn't have 3D at the time. So, I just bought a BenQ w1080ST projector and wanted to see if I could still redeem the 3D disc. I entered the code and it gave me the points and the digital copy but no redemption link to the $5.99 offer. I might e-mail them and see if can still get it. I'll come back with an update.

I tried emailing about this very thing about a week ago and all they basically told me was that it expired & apologized.

Is the redemption dead for the 2D version also if you bought the 3D Blu-ray? I was thinking of picking up the 3D but want the 2D disk's extras.
