Not yet...

It may be called either Dusk Watch or Twilight Watch, but right now it's apparently in a very slow pre-production with a supposed 2009 release date. Doubt it'll come out in '09.

I wish more people were hip to Night Watch and Day Watch ( I think the Blu-Ray.com review of Day was a little off the mark).

For those of you not in the know, imagine if Lord Of The Rings and The Matrix had a baby. And it was a vampire. In Russian.

It's one of those great film experiences where there are people fighting forces of evil and keeping the world safe as part of their regular 9-5 job. Vampires have to fill out permits in order to feed, and the good guys and bad guys have beaurocratic nonsense to sort out if someone breaks a peace treaty.

Nightwatch/Daywatch were great, but I have zero interest in seeing the third one.

For one reason there's no point to it. Everything was wrapped up in the second movie. There's nothing left to say.

And secondly, since Fox Searchlight is footing the bill, they're going to make it in English with American Actors.

I'll pass.

That's quite disappointing. Who will watch it who isn't interested in foreign films to begin with? I was already disappointed that the translator took creative license with the English subtitles to appease American viewers.

Meaning what? Had not heard about that.

I wished they had translated over the fancy cool subs to Bluray. Where it was blood red and in the water scenes it would dissolve in the water.

And I agree that Day Watch was a perfect ending to the story. It wrapped up nicely and left you wanting more. Exactly what a good film franchise should do.
