question about HDMI cables - Blu-ray Forum

just got a blu ray player about an hour ago, and it says HDMI cables are not included. i know from having an xbox that HDMI cables are expensive, but will the player not play in blu ray quality w/o the cables? if so, that seems like a bit of a rip off,it should play in blu ray quality right out of the box

NOT expensive if you go where crackinhedz has led you.

if you have any Component cables laying around...use those for the time being. Although you will only get resolutions of 720p or 1080i. For 1080p you do need an HDMI cable.

...if you are intent on buying an HDMI cable ASAP, go to walmart or target and buy the least expensive one you can.

Id personally buy some from monoprice and just use Component cables for now.

It is a great site with a ton of info. and great, knowlegeable people willing to help.

Except for me. I'm only willing to take any Blu off your hands cheap and with free shipping included.
