Default Why was my thread on The Day the Earth Stood Still removed?

There was nothing offensive in my thread, only saying the reviewer was presumptuous by his stated opinion in the review that everyone's primary purpose in buying the title was to see the seven minutes of the coming remake. So why was it removed? I've tried to find a contact section for moderators but see nothing.

Well if I had to guess, I'd say:

a) Because the review says that in a tongue-in-cheek manner. Maybe taken out of context, it could be mistaken for a serious comment, but considering the respect to the film given by the rest of the review (as well as the sentence following immediately after the one in question, where the "real" supplements are discussed), I'd definitely conclude that the review author meant it sarcastically.

b) For some reason the Blu-ray.com moderators seem to take quick action against review complaints. I think the community would be better served with explanations instead of quickly vanishing threads, but it's their site so it's up to them.

I had a thread removed once to. It was a joke thread, I just took a screen shot of an amazon.com page that said "Nintendo Playstation 3" and it was a pretty popular thread. In about an hour it had 20 posts and many more views. Why it was removed? To this day I dont know. Nothing offensive, just some good old fashioned humor. I love amazon, I have their prime membership and purchase from there all the time.

My only guess is that since we have direct links to amazon.com from the movie reviews, bluray.com is in some sort of agreement with amazon and somehow that violatedd it ....... or something.

I also had a post removed from that thread. I merely listed the URL of a review from another site (this was before the review on Blu-ray.com). Someone else replied and quoted that post, so the text of my original post still lives. Are we not supposed to refer to (or to indicate the URLs for) reviews on other sites?

A better place for this thread is on the feedback forum. Sometimes threads are merged to avoid duplication. A thread would be removed if it is insulting, deals with politics, sexual orientation, ect. I personally have never had a thread or post deleted for expressing an opposing opinion. I would suggets for the op to search for all threads started by him to see if it was deleted or moved.

Yes, the comment was meant to be taken tongue-in-cheek. Sorry if you took it as otherwise.
