Pioneer Firmware - Blu-ray Forum

i just updated my pioneer firmware only to find it unresponsive now i cant do anything i tired reset it and it wont do anything and any suggestions would help

Was this an official Pioneer issued firmware update, or a 3rd party version? When I update my other player(Sony BDP-S1) Sony says strictly to not press any buttons while it is updating, or turn of the power during update, or unit will "lock up" and be unresponsive and require service.Do you use a power conditioner with surge protection? Was there any fluctuation in the power that may have caused this unit to lock? Same instructions for my Sony BDP-S350, but I haven't had to update it since purchase.

Unplug it and let its sit for a few min....then plug it back up and see what happens.

What's the model of the Pioneer? What FW version were you trying to upgrade to?
