Default In defense of Uwe Boll

I know most people on this board will lynch me for saying this, but I actually like a few of his movies. I just bought "In the Name of the King" on blu and my wife and I would really like to get "Alone in the Dark" and "Bloodrayne" in the future. I can only hope for a "House of the Dead" release soon.

Sure theyre not perfect movies, but you have to take them as what they are. And yes, he does make crap movies. One only needs to watch Bloodrayne 2 and Postal to see how bad he can be.

Im sure Im not the only one who feels this way.

Uwe Boll's movies have no absolutely no redeeming value to me. I think the world would be a better place if he never became a director. I hate his movies that much. Just, awful...

I saw Bloodrayne and I consider it among the worst movies I've ever seen.

However, In the Name of the King was on one of my movie channels the other day, so I flipped over to see how bad it was. To my surprise, I ended up enjoying it, and watched it all the way to the end. I'm a big Jason Statham and Ron Perlman fan, but still, I was surprised, it wasn't THAT bad.

Infinite Monkey Theorem.

Law of averages say he has to make a decent movie eventually. Of course I think the monkeys have a better chance than him.

I was actually excited to see Bloodrayne, and then it crushed every ounce of hype left in me.

I think if anybody but Uwe Boll had made In the Name of the King it would have done 100 times better being exactly the same. It got bashed because his name was attached to it. I felt it was an excellent fantasy movie and have seen it a few times.

what irked the most about 'In the name of the king' was Burt Reynolds as the freaking king and Statham's one dimensional acting, I know he can do better than that.

I really like the Dungeon Siege movie. It certainly is NOT what Boll wanted it to be, but it is a cheesy throwback fantasy feel to it. Check the brain at the door and make a big bowl of popcorn ... it is rather entertaining.

I was actually really looking foward to watching this movie. I am a big fan of the genre, and just about anything will please me. Uwe's rendition is atrocious...

It makes me sad that Uwe Boll gets more attention then film makers that should. Ue Boll films are great to watch drunk with friends and realize you can make a better movie with a hand held camera and card board cut outs

Default Mr. Boll is an artist, hmmmmmmm?

If Uwe Boll ever falls on hard times, he is always welcome to crash on my couch.

In the meanwhile, I'll gather a mob for some entertainment after sunset.
