Time's top 10 lists....... are kinda - Blu-ray Forum

I have no idea how to describe them.
Speed racer is among this year's top 10 and Walle is this year's top movie?
Wall-e was great but by no means "top movie" great and speed racer? How high were the editors that they picked speed racer to be this year's top 10?
Even the music selections were utterly biased (kayne west, pink, etc)

It was OK. A little to much special effects for my taste.

Actually, the latest Entertainment Weekly picked Wall-E as the the year's best movie and Speed Racer as one of the worst.

Kudos for not putting TDK (I'd say it's first but it's been praised enough)

I object to Speed Racer on the grounds the little boy is insanely irritating. I couldn't finish it.

speed racer is a good movie technically and visually but by no means it has a decent enough plot or decent enough acting to make it a good film
by praising it, we are basically suggesting that by putting together a slide show of beautiful pictures, slapping a couple of trippy music tracks and we can call it a top 10 movie of the year
the lists made by Time are not insightful at all, take the music one for instance, it's just a rehash of this year's top 40s, and musicians everywhere would beg to differ

There was no cynisism intended. I was interested to see what you thought.I don't like the term "best of" when dealing with movies because art is subjective but I'm all for favorite lists. Time has given their list. If you don't agree I want to know why and what you you would choose for your list.
