Default AP Entertainer of the Year

In order...Tina Fey, Robert Downey Jr., and Heath Ledger. Tina beat Heath?? Gotta love her impression of Sarah, though.

She deserves it. She accomplished a lot this year.

She practically ruined the credibility of a Presidential campaign with that impersonation. Nobody took McCain or Palin seriously because of that. It wasn't that her impersonation was so over the top as is usually the case on SNL, it was that Palin's actual answers in the Couric interview were eerily similar to the SNL skit.

Go figure, it makes sense, the AP probably wanted to reward her for stimulating/influencing the vote.

Tina Fey? Really? I'll never understand the press's infatuation with her. Hollywoood insiders keep pimping her like she's a huge success. She stars on a low-rated sitcom and made a movie that just did ok this year. But hey! She did a spot-on impression of a candidate they didn't like! Entertainer of the YEAR!!!!

For the record, I don't hate Tina Fey. But entertainer of the year? Come on! Her actual success does not match the press she recieves, IMHO.

Can't argue with the other 2 though. Downey and Ledger performed big time.

tina wasn't in a theatrical bomb. baby mama pulled in over $63 million worldwide. $60 million of that here in the states. that's not too bad. it's not a blockbuster, but considering the budget was $30 million i'd say that baby performed pretty well for itself. a theatrical bomb would be something like speed racer.

Hmm. I remember the movie performing poorly for some reason. I guess I was wrong. Alright, I take that part back. I still think "entertainer of the year" is a stretch. But then, I can't even begin to comprehend why "30 Rock" keeps getting Emmies. So what do I know?

BTW, I'm gonna edit the part about the "theatrical bomb" in my original post so that we don't end up with a thread full of people correcting that tidbit.

I would have given it to Downey Jr. He was great in Iron Man and Tropic Thunder.

I would have also given it to Downey Jr over Fey, but I'd say that's a solid list.
