Not even a question, I found 3:10 to Yuma the far superior film.

I don't want to rule one out, I loved them both, but Yuma had loads of more action.

Haven't seen Appolossa, but 3:10 was pretty good. The presentation is sometimes an unbelievable story. Once you get beyond that the underlying story is a pretty good treatises of the human condition.

3:10 to Yuma is the most over rated western. I read so many positive comments about this film and bought the BD as a blind buy. Was so disappointed in it.

3:10 is way better than Appaloosa. Althougth Appaloosa isn't all that bad, 3:10 just blows it away!

3:10 to Yuma seems like one of those movies designed to appeal to the popcorn crowd, while Appaloosa seems designed to be darling of the critics...... except both the crowd and critics loved 3:10 to Yuma more. Not saying Appaloosa was bad or anything, it has its merits, but it's got NOTHING on Yuma.

Stay clear of this genre then as it probably is the best to have come out in quite awhile. It is quite painful to keep hoping for new films to be released let alone good ones when one enjoys westerns.
