Just watched Bangkok Dangerous BLU. - Blu-ray Forum

The picture quality is as good as one could expect from a decent Blu ray transfer, now the quality of the film itslef, that's another story

. As an action film it had some off the wall scenes that were just unbelievable ( Example: NICK CAGE tosses home made bomb down staircase and hops inside bathtub located in the upstairs bathroom and everyone else, including the house explodes besides MR BANGKOK himself. That scene reminded me of how fake INDY Crystal Skull was when INDY hid inside a fridge to survive a nuclear blast. Anyhow the menu screen sucks especially with NICK CAGE staying stagnet in the background, which is a negative thing if you fall asleep during the film ( which is a high possibility ) and the film returns to the title screen which it will and you awake to a burned image of MR BANGKOK in your screen ( this did not happen to me ).

Overall I rate the PQ 4-5, AQ-? , and movie quality 3 1/2-5.

I'm about to get started on watching BABYLON A D blu ray now and I will let you all know how that one turns out

I was quite pleased with the film when I saw it in theaters. Much more so than the average viewer it seems. And being a fan of Asian Cinema, as well as Nic Cage, I guess that there wasn't really disappointment to be had by me. Glad to hear the PQ is quite good. I was worried that the studio might drop the ball on this one since it didn't light a fire in the theaters. Thanks for the heads up!

I will probably pick it up at a sale...Nicolas Cage just looks disjointed with that weird hair and sad eyes. The guy is just too depressing for me.

I love Nick Cage, but will hopefully have this from Netflix tuesday, didn't want to risk blind-buying it...

This gets less than half a star from myself. Only Cage's horrible mis-casting made me finish watching it, like a car crash in slow motion. You have to admit, he's not exactly the best hitman to send to Thailand... He's twice the size of everyone. Hardly blends into the crowd, does he? LOL!

LOL maybe thats what It was for me, the fact that I thought they chose the wrong actor to begin with and his weird hair style made me dislike the film. Being that I am an architect/designer I pay alot of attention to detail and I just did not like the direction they chose when marketing the film LOL. Especially the movie poster, when I first saw that thing I was thinking " what the hell ." I normally dont mind Nick Flicks, but his hair in this one made it hard for me to watch LOL.

I would have posted photos but I figured they will be up in a second by someone else, I usually do ( as I posted early photos of Incredible HULK and the James Bond Collection Blu's, but my personal PC is down at the second (stupid power supply)

ill just say rent this before blind buying it, im a nic cage fan but i thought this was horrible.

i love nic cage, but this and next were so bad lol. its not so much the script, but how they were put together. team up with better directors nic!
