How is the audio? I'll be getting it this week and was wondering how it was. When I saw it at work(Wally World) the picutres on the back didn't look they did it justice.

there isnt alot of depth to the soundtrack but that is what makes it great. the audio in my opinion was awesome. not bad for a 29 year old movie.

This one's in the mail as we speak . . . I can't wait. Can't believe October's finally here, not a week without at least one decent release.

It does look pretty awesome. The more and more you watch of it, the more you just lose yourself. The one thing I love about the movie, is how well it captures the time period. That is definitely the 70's. Especially in high def, you are transported to another time. Great movie and great transfer. Peter Bracke is on Crack!

I guess for folks in my generation this is the epitome of the modern horror film. The look, the feel, of cott...er the film is just perfect.

Default Have u owned Halloween on BD or rent.. just vote it and comment it

I voted it myself because I watched the same day it came out and i bought it from Wal-mart for the price of 18.97; the cheapest price i ever bought for blu-ray. And Yes it is true that watching this movie is like watching it for the first time

Ok, watched Halloween for the first time all the way through since about 1990.

I got some general reccomendations for anyone who is even remotely skiddish of horror movies like me.

here goes,

Rule #1 If you are a chicken like me...watch this with the lights on. I watched this around 11:30 at night, in the dark and I gotta tell you, In HD...you feel like you're there I kept looking behind me, and seeing things in the house etc. Not good...lol

Rule#2 If you're gonna watch this in LPCM 5.1, be prepared for your heart to pop out of your chest on several occassions. Man, those loud sound effects when a boddy pops out or when Michael appears etc. Man, those things scared the bajeezus out of me.

Rule#3 Don't watch Halloween before bed. Pad it out so you have time between the movie and bed time to watch a comedy, or something to take your mind off of it. I'll be damned if I aint a 33 year old man and couldn't sleep because every noise I heard I would get suspicious and get up and flick the lights on..no joke

Final rule of Halloween, don't let your 6 year old sit there and watch it with you. He learned about 5 minutes in that he aint ready for that...lol, I told him initially that it was too scary and that he should watch some cartoons in his room...but you know kids, he persisted until (which I knew was gonna happen which is the only reason I let him stay a few minutes)
he says to me..."Daddy, I don't think I wanna watch this after all...I'm too scared" Me, "I told you...let me put on Shark Tale for you in your room" lol.

All in all, Halloween on Blu-ray was a blast. A movie that has always scared the crap out of me as a kid watching it late on Halloween nights on TV, and now probably the scariest way I've seen it, on my HT system in the best way it's ever looked/sounded. I give it 2 thumbs up for any fan of the film...you gotta have it! Halloween just aint Halloween without Michael, and our buddy with the Hockey Mask: Jason...Chhh chhh chhh chhh, Chaa chaa chhaa chaa)

Ditto! Not only is it the greatest Horror movie (aside from part 3) it is the greatest Horror series.

Thanks BTBuck1. I think that was the best review and trubute one could have given to this timeless classic! Great Job!

Unfortunately for NMOES they just got too carried away with the jokes after part 3. The first 3 rank right up with the best of Halloween & FT13th. But after that, it was like...okay is this horror or comedy? A little known gem that begged for a sequel and never got one
was Wes Craven's SHOCKER<-Awesome
