XBOX 360 20gb for $150? good deal? - Blu-ray Forum

I am a PS3 fan boy thru and thru but My friend just got a PS3 and he said he would sell me his XBOX 360 pro 20 GB for $150. Comes with the original box,two controllers, Headset, all the accessories and 5 games. He's owned it for about 8 months.

I know this guy and he takes good care of his stuff and has barely touched the Xbox. But me being a previous Xbox owner and having to deal with the RROD 3 times before getting rid of it I am wary. Still I am tempted just so I can play GOW 2 and Left 4 Dead.

Think I should jump on this or is it just another RROD fiasco waiting to happen?

I'd say its pretty good since it is cheaper than the Arcade and you get a hard drive and the games + accessories, ask if he has the warranty on it, and i think you can still register it on xbox.com if something should go wrong

if he's only owned it 8 months i assume like everyone's said there is still a warranty, plus you have 3 years warranty to cover the RROD, and with microsoft's turnaround time now (last RROD experience i got a replacement xbox within 2 weeks) $150 isn't bad at all. go for it, the 360 has some great games.

I say do it!!! Then you will have one for the same reason I have one, exclusive games. GOW2 is a perfect example!!!

Yeah I think I'm gonna jump on it. I've never had a problem with Xbox games. a fun game is a fun game, I've just had bad experiences with the system itself in the past but this sounds good to me.

Great deal. Just keep in mind GOW2 is a crapshoot of whether or not it will work for you, no matter how new or old the system is. Mine is 3 years old and plays it, my friend's is 1 year old and won't anymore and his neighbor got one new two weeks ago and it won't at all. It's the games, not the system. There's forums loaded with annoyed people who bought new 360s just for that game and it won't play yet every other game plays fine.
