Default Poll: Best Blu-Ray Of 2008

As the year comes to a close, i think its time for this thread. What do you think was the best blu-ray of '08? My vote goes to The Incredible Hulk . The PQ is just top notch, and it has one of the best audio on blu thus far. The movie also has a good cast and enough action to keep you on the edge of your seat. I already know The Dark Knight will get 75% of the votes.

WALL-E was the best Blu-ray release this year in my opinion. Great picture and audio. Disney seems to make the best BD's. Runner up would have to be The Thing. For a film originally released in 1982, the BD has a most impressive PQ and AQ.

While Iron Man and TDK are exceptional, the Blu of the Year award goes hands down to Baraka.

Default Blu Rays of the year

I would have to go with WALL E, Sleeping Beauty, Iron Man, or The Dark Knight. I can not belive I just voted a WB Blu Ray as one of the best of the year. Because half my posts this year were constantly bashing WB for lack of lossless.

New Years resolutions for Studio's

WB: High bit rate video transfers, all movies have Dolby True HD, it's ok if classics like Casablanca and The Adventures of Robin Hood have mono on them.

Fox/ MGM: Have more special features.

If there's a uber special edition DVD all extras should be on the Blu Ray.

Instead of Casablanca just coming in that special edition box, there should be a movie only edition.

Blu-Ray of the Year?

The only good Batman film to be released on Blu-Ray this year.
Well worth the upgrade from the previous DVD. The new extras were fantastic.

Honorable mentions to the POTA: 40th Anniversay Set, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Indy IV, and Sleeping Beauty.

Has to be TDK, not for the movie itself but for what it is doing for the format. By 12/31/2008 I estimate 2 million TDK BD copies sold (US) and that is where we are at.
